Ines Papert & Luka Lindič
During our expeditions to the most remote places on earth, we often lived with our hosts in simple, original farms. Living there has shaped our character and made us wish to one day be allowed to receive guests in a traditional house ourselves.
We are looking forward to your visit!
Ines & Luka
Ines Papert
Ines Papert, German climber and alpinist, has always enjoyed to go where hardly anyone else has gone before her. The four-time world champion in ice climbing and multiple World Cup winner not only left her female competitors behind.
She also goes her own way in the mountains and was able, for example, to be the first person to stand at the summit of Likhu Chuli I in Nepal or to climb new, high alpine routes all over the world.
Ines knows that difficult routes and hard training can only be successfully mastered with a good base. This is also what the Mountain Lodge Istria stands for, which she has painstakingly rebuilt together with Luka. Here climbers, mountaineers and nature enthusiasts should find a base to explore the wonderful Istria.
Luka Lindič
Luka Lindič, Slovenian climber and alpinist, has been fascinated by the mountains since childhood. The modest climber knew from the beginning that he liked it hard and difficult in the mountains. Through meticulous and systematic training, he built a solid base that allows him to climb the hardest walls on earth. Numerous awards followed his difficult ascents. For example, he received the prestigious Piolet d'Or for his first ascent of Hagshu in India.
Through his connection with the mountains and thus nature, Luka is aware of the role sustainability and an awareness of the environment play. This is also reflected in the Mountain Lodge Istria, which he and Ines have renovated sustainably from the ground up with great attention to detail.
