One of the many legends about the magical history of Istria is that it was created by giants who gathered stones and built towns on the hilltops, amongst ancient limestones. This magic lives across the peninsula today, and I am so excited to explore it with you.
In its richness Nature mirrors our human experience and offers the most direct teachings on how to live, how to love, how to grow and how to relate to the world around us. It is in the tranquility of nature that we ground back into the simple living. We declutter our days, our lives. We remember the simple joys of being alive. We regenerate.


HIKING & YOGA IN ISTRIA - ALL LEVELS
The simple intention of this retreat: leave the city life behind, unplug and spend revitalizing time immersed in the great outdoor.
We will begin our days during this guided hiking & yoga retreat with deep yogic practices; gather for family style meals; hike the breathtaking trails of Istrian hills and mountains; breathe in the crisp rain, and connect with the elements in and around us. There is time dedicated for rest and connection, and optional wellness activities. For the adventurous souls, there is a possibility of a beginners climbing class, on one of the stunning rocks of Ćićarija mountains just behind our Lodge.
This yoga retreat in Istria welcomes all levels of practitioners as long as they are nature lovers.

OUR GUIDED HIKING & YOGA RETREAT
is packed with daily Yogic practices of asana, pranayama, philosophy, meditation, and mantra.
Days are inspired by our nature hikes- a mindful walk, a meditation in nature on one of the elements, a poetry reading on a mountain top. Every practice is offered to complement and enrich the experience of connecting with the self, nature and one another. Evenings are for cozy community gatherings, connection and sharing.
Example of daily program:
7.30 am - 9.30am: Morning meditation & Vinyasa Yoga
10am: Breakfast
11am: Nature Hikes
Afternoons: Massages, SPA, wellness
7pm: Dinner

OUTDOOR PROGRAM
(Schedule is subject to slight changes due to weather conditions)
**Thursday:** We kick off our retreat with a sunset hike to Kompanj Rock, soaking in the magic of the Istrian landscape, arriving into our community and intention. (2 hours welcome and intention setting sunset hike)
**Friday:** We trek to Korita Spring in Ćićarija, to enjoy the fresh mountain water springs and a glimpse into their significance throughout ancient Istrian history. (2-2.5 hours)
**Saturday:** We head on the Žbevnica walk, featuring breathtaking views of the valley, the Slovenian mountains, and even the Italian Dolomites. We reach the peak at 1014m via some thrilling climbs. (3 hours)
**Sunday:** For the adventurous, an optional rock-climbing class is offered by our hosts- who are professional mountaineers. This is a super opportunity to experience the thrill of rock climbing in a supportive and fun environment. Price €40, including all equipment and guides. (3 hours). Alternatively, we visit Hum- “the smallest town in the world”, a beautiful ancient Istrian town packed with history.

YOUR ACCOMMODATION
Our Stone Lodge II is newly renovated and furnished with great attention to tradition and originality. It is located amidst the breathtaking scenery of the picturesque village of Kompanj in Istria. The gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze and the chorus of birds create a symphony of tranquillity that peacefully embraces this idyllic mountain experience.
4 bedrooms (2+2+2+2; sleeps 8), 3 bathrooms, a large eat-in kitchen, a seminar-, yoga- or lounge room.
Delicious local meals are prepared for you every day (breakfast, snacks, dinner). Vegetarian or vegan options are available on request.
YOGA ROOM WITH PANORAMIC WINDOW
The 50 m² room with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows is the heart of the Mountain Lodge Istria and is available for our yoga sessions, lectures on a large screen/4K projector and for sitting together.
The view of the surrounding Istrian countryside calms the mind and invites you to chill out. From here you can watch the climbing action on the rocks of Kompanj.

YOUR YOGA TEACHER & HIKING GUIDE

Dee Koprivc
is a seasoned yoga teacher, dance facilitator, and event producer, she has spent over two decades exploring the sacred language of the body.
A YTT 500h+ certified yoga instructor, she fuses movement, spirituality and mindfulness into deeply immersive experiences—portals of presence where bodies remember their wisdom, breath becomes prayer, and rhythm cracks us open to something bigger.
Her path began in deep service—over a decade with UNICEF, advocating for women’s and children’s rights in Nepal, Cambodia, and Laos. She has witnessed the raw power of community, the way small, intentional acts ripple into transformation.
Through every journey, yoga has been her anchor, compass, and home. As the founder of Supersoul Yoga, she spent nearly a decade curating global retreats, workshops, and trainings—gathering souls in spaces of deep connection and radical self-inquiry. Now rooted in Zagreb, Croatia, she tends to her local yoga community while continuing to travel, leading retreats in sacred lands and immersing in ancient wisdom traditions.
Dee’s work is a call to presence, a remembering of the power that lives in every breath, every beat, every step toward our truest selves.
Through it all, yoga has been the thread that holds me together. My anchor and a source of courage whenever I have felt lost or adrift.
Jasna Bozič Dušić
has been climbing with great enthusiasm for almost 20 years. We are delighted that we were able to recruit her for our project as a certified climbing instructor and hiking guide.
The mother of two is driven by self-development and daily mindfulness.
