Surrounded by the unspoiled nature of the Istrian highlands, Mountain Lodge Istria offers you a week full of exercise, tranquility, and connection. We accompany you daily through guided Mountainflow Yoga classes - sometimes powerful, sometimes gentle, always in harmony with your breath and the environment. When the weather is good, we practice outside, overlooking the hills and forests of the Učka Mountains.
The whole experience is topped off with guided hikes on beautiful trails, sound healing sessions for deep relaxation, and a playful introduction to Acro Yoga – for lightness, trust, and lots of fun.

The lodge's vegan or vegetarian cuisine will spoil you with lovingly prepared meals, while the surrounding nature invites you to relax and recharge your batteries. Whether hiking together through the Učka Mountains or enjoying quiet moments on the terrace, Istria offers the perfect backdrop for connecting with yourself. The small group size creates a personal atmosphere in which both beginners and experienced yogis can feel comfortable and flourish.
In the morning, we start with an extensive yoga session in the light-filled yoga room at Mountain Lodge Istria – a place of peace and clarity that gently accompanies you into the day. Afterwards, we enjoy a lovingly prepared breakfast with regional, vegan ingredients.
For our hikes – e.g., to Vojak Peak or along the Županj vrh Trail – we pack a light lunch and set off together or individually through the impressive nature of the Učka Mountains. In the afternoon, you can look forward to relaxing movement sequences, sound healing, or our Intro to Acro Yoga – a playful partner practice that promotes trust and lightness.
Back at the lodge, we end the day with a sustainably healthy dinner. After a quiet evening of conversation, silence, or gazing at the starry sky, we sink into our cozy beds feeling fulfilled and content.

Your Accommodation
This old farmers house (Stone Lodge II ) has been newly renovated and furnished with great attention to tradition and originality. It is located in the midst of the breathtaking landscape of the picturesque village of Kompanj in Istria.
The gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze and the chorus of birds create a symphony of tranquility that peacefully embraces this idyllic mountain experience.
4 bedrooms (2+2+4; sleeps 8), 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen-diner, a seminar, yoga, or lounge room.
Delicious local meals are prepared for you daily (breakfast, snacks, dinner). Vegetarian or vegan options are available on request.
Yoga room with panoramic window
The 50 m² room with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows is the heart of Mountain Lodge Istria and is available for our yoga sessions, lectures on a large screen/4K projector, and for sitting together.
The view of the surrounding Istrian countryside calms the mind and invites you to chill out. From here, you can watch the climbing action on the Kompanj rocks.

Lisa Burr
For 12 years, I have been helping people on their journey to a healthy life!
I found my love for yoga through a series of detours.
Even in my youth, I tried my hand at various sports and stuck with everything that had to do with nature and exercise.
After graduating with a degree in sports science specializing in rehabilitation and starting my career as a personal trainer in Cologne, I was increasingly drawn to the mountains.
As a sports scientist, certified yoga teacher, and climbing trainer, I have been helping people on their journey to better health, balance, and joie de vivre for over 12 years.
Since 2020, I have been leading yoga retreats in special locations in nature and the mountains. Now we are finally coming to Mountain Lodge Istria to practice yoga and hike with you every day.
Here I share my passion with you: the combination of yoga, exercise, and mountain sports for physical and mental growth.

Chris Lührs
As a native of northern Germany, it took me about half my life to discover my enthusiasm for the mountains, but since then, that is where my passion lies.
My passion for nature has taken me from classic mountain hikes to high-altitude tours and multi-pitch climbs to ski tours and rescue missions with the mountain rescue service.
Yoga and hiking
Combine this alpine experience with the principles of mindfulness, body awareness, and closeness to nature.
For me, yoga is not just a practice on the mat, but an attitude that is also reflected in movement in the mountains: walking, breathing, pausing, and perceiving the beauty of nature consciously.
My goal is to guide people safely and mindfully through the mountains—whether on a gentle hike or a challenging tour.
The focus is not on the degree of difficulty, but on the shared experience.
